Description:

This ecclesiastical belt was sent by the Huron-Wendat mission of Jeune Lorette, present Wendake, to the cathedral of Nortre-Dame, Charles in 1678.

"Vow of the Huron to the Virigin who is to give birth"

The beads are wampum and mixed small glass beads and warps are wrapped with porcupine quills. The reproduction used polymer beads of the same size therefore the lettering .
